Reading God’s Word: 2 Corinthians 5:1-21, Psalm 115:10-18
Memorizing God’s Word: 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Meditating on God’s Word: 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, I have read the words ‘the old has gone, the new is here,’ before. Whenever I read it, I find myself dwelling on the first part. Your word says that the old me is gone, but Lord it just doesn’t feel like that. It feels like I am searching to find where the ‘new’ is at times. I so desperately want this truth to be true in me, but my sins are many. I want to live as a new creation. I want to live every day in Christ. I want my life to be inseparable from the life of my savior. Thank you for your patience with me Father. You have said that the good work that you began in me will be carried on to completion. Help me rest in these truths and these promises. Please root the old out of my life and fill it with your new eternal life! Amen.”
