Reading God’s Word: Amos 5-6; Psalm 104

Memorizing God’s Word: Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Meditating on God’s Word: Amos 5:14-15 Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is. Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps the Lord God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph.

Praying God’s Word: Lord, these words are a matter of life and death. It takes intentional effort to seek good and hate evil. It takes passion to maintain justice. You promise to be with us in these endeavors, so that we will not be alone in our own strength. May we be filled with Your Spirit in order to accomplish great things in Your name, Amen.
