Reading God’s Word: 2 Corinthians 8:16-9:15, Psalm 117:1-2
Memorizing God’s Word: 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Meditating on God’s Word: 2 Corinthians 9:6-8: Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, strengthen my faith in you. I desire to be generous with the things that you have given me, but my desire to be generous is always at war with idols I keep hidden in my heart, and with a weak faith. You have always been faithful to me. I sing about your faithfulness all the time, but when it comes time to live it, I shrink back in fear. You have told me in your word over and over again that you desire to bless me. But I allow the cares of this life and this world to get in the way of those blessings. Forgive me. Strengthen my faith Father. You have promised that I will always have everything I need, and that I do not need to be afraid. Help me to grow in my trust in you so that I may be generous just as you are generous. It is my desire to abound in every good work that you have for me. I surrender to you in this. Make is so Father. Amen.”
