These coaches are also all dedicated followers of Christ who will model Jesus's love and share their faith with the kids!
On the final day of camp (Friday, June 27 at 5pm), all parents, guardians, and family members are invited to the World Cup Tournament, where the different age groups will compete against each other. The camp will conclude with an award banquet and dinner, during which the kids will share about the different countries and what they have learned. To make our coaches and kids ministry leaders from around the world feel at home during their stay in the United States, we are currently seeking host families who are willing to host a person or a couple for the duration of their stay (approx. June 20-30). This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know these amazing leaders and have an incredible time together. Each host family will undoubtedly enjoy a unique 10-day experience learning about foreign countries, their cultures, and customs, and hopefully, building lasting friendships with believers from different parts of the world.
In addition to providing a bed to sleep in and an internet connection (so they can stay in touch with their loved ones at home), you are more than welcome to have your coach join you for dinner and be included in your daily family routines and experiences. Most breakfast and lunches will be provided for the leaders as part of the camp, while most dinner times will be your opportunity to connect with your leaders and get to know them. Transportation to and from the camp activities would be greatly appreciated. Carpooling is also possible.
Questions? Please contact our Host Family Coordinator, Brian Work (brianwork@opendoor.tv or 440.281.6577)
