Reading God’s Word: Ezra 5-6; Psalm 77

Memorizing God’s Word: John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Meditating on God’s Word: Ezra 5:11 “We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, one that a great king of Israel built and finished.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, with so many people and places that want to claim my identity, I’m thankful to know exactly who I am in you. These Israelites may have spent their entire lives in Babylon, but Babylon was not their home. They may have been subject to many rulers, but those men were not their King. And it is always so in the Kingdom of God. May every identity in my life kneel before the God of heaven and earth. May every purpose I set out to accomplish serve to build Your Kingdom here on earth. In the name of my King, Jesus, amen.”
