Reading God’s Word: Job 19; Psalm 112

Memorizing God’s Word: Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

Meditating on God’s Word: Job 19:14 My relatives have gone away; my closest friends have forgotten me.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, we live in a time of isolation for so many. Families torn. Friendships forsaken. Handshakes and hugs replaced with keystrokes and remote controls. Father, who have we forsaken? As we hear Job cry out for a friend, may we be that friend today. As we hear Job mourn the loss of his family, may we be brothers and sisters who reach out to those we have failed to follow up with. Jesus, let us be a body of people who stay connected to you and connected to one another. Amen.”
