Memorizing God’s Word: John 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 140:12 I know that the Lord secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, our society views the needy as helpless and weak and the rich as powerful and strong. Yet you show no partiality or favoritism towards either, flipping that notion and going so far as to call the poor blessed.  We, as your children, are called to follow your example of love and compassion and stand up for and defend those less fortunate. Give me a heart for those others deem “unworthy”. The people that others may turn their heads away from when passing by.  Open my eyes to their needs and help me to see them the way you do: cherished, adored, and beloved. Amen.”
