Memorizing God’s Word: Matthew 5:16   In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Meditating on God’s Word:  Matthew 2:22-24 So Joseph got up, took the child and his mother, and went to the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, Joseph withdrew to the district of Galilee, and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth.  

Praying God’s Word:  Lord, I read in these chapters how Joseph kept obeying what You had told him.  He took Mary as his wife; named the baby: Jesus; after the Magi visit, Joseph in the night took the family to Egypt; then went back to Israel; but when he got there, they still weren’t safe, so they withdrew to Nazareth in Galilee.  Oh, may I have the faith to follow you over the course of my life.  I don’t want to trust only in my original conversion and faith in You.  I want to faithfully follow every prompting/nudging of the Holy Spirit for my entire earthly life.
