Reading God’s Word:  Ezekiel 33; Psalm 66

Memorizing God’s Word:  Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 66:10-12 (ESV) For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried. You brought us into the net; you laid a crushing burden on our backs; you let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, times of testing can feel like a net we are entangled in without any hope of release.  They feel like heavy burdens that crush us and hold us down. Oftentimes they are overwhelming and sometimes devastating. But through them, you are continually working, refining our character and our faith, and purifying us into your likeness. It is in those times, if we put our focus and trust in you, where we come through to a place of repentance and restoration. A place of abundance.  Give me your strength in those times of testing so I do not get discouraged or lose hope.  I trust that you will meet me where I’m at and bring me to a place of overflowing fullness. Amen.”
