Reading God’s Word: 1 Samuel 4:1b-5:12; Proverbs 7:1-27
Memorizing God’s Word: Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Meditating on God’s Word: Proverbs 7:1-5 “My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you.Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and to insight, “You are my relative.” They will keep you from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words.”
Praying God’s Word: “Lord Jesus, just like when you entered into the wilderness, would your words be on our heart. Let us know your words so deeply that when temptation comes, we would be able to speak your words. Remind me Lord of your promise. Remind me Lord of your presence. Remind me Lord of your power. I love you, thank you for loving me. It is in your name we pray, Amen.”
