Reading God’s Word: Matthew 27:57-28:15; Psalm 30

Memorizing God’s Word: John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 30:4-5, “Sing the praises of the LORD, you his faithful people; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, it is such an encouraging thought to me that Your anger lasts only a moment. Even when we experience the consequences of our sin and waywardness, You cause the sun to rise! And as surely as the sun will rise, so also will you bring joy back to us. The sorrow, and the shadow, and the pain are only a passing thing. And it is for this, for Your faithfulness to us, that we sing the praises of the Lord! Amen.”
