Reading God’s Word: Exodus 1:1-2:25; Psalm 32
Memorizing God’s Word: Psalm 23:3-4, “he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 32:5, “Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, ‘I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.’”
Praying God’s Word: “Lord God, David’s words here initiate a moment for us today to spend some time confessing our sins to You. Often what can get overlooked in our daily time is the time to stop and ask you to examine us, show us where we have fallen short. Shine your loving light on my soul so I can voice the ways I’m out of step with You and allow Your grace and forgiveness to wash over me so I can live freely and forgive as you’ve forgiven me. Because of Jesus I pray, Amen.”
