Reading God’s Word:  Matthew 26:57-68; Psalm 64

Memorizing God’s Word: 1 John 1:9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 26:62-63 Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, “Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?” But Jesus remained silent.Psalm 64:10 The righteous will rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him; all the upright in heart will glory in him!

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, these two passages go perfectly together! We see David crying out to you, feeling surrounded by evil men, conspiring and plotting, “sharpening their tongues like swords” (Psalm 64:3). Then we see Jesus, literally surrounded, the Sanhedrin bearing false witness, seeking injustice, and Jesus remained silent. He didn’t need to defend Himself, you were already His defense. He didn’t need to argue the accusations, you already knew His innocence. And when I feel attacked and surrounded, would I learn to take refuge in you, my God. My righteousness, vindication, and glory! Amen.”
