Reading God’s Word: Mark 6:45-56; Psalm 82

Memorizing God’s Word: Isaiah 40:28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

Meditating on God’s Word: Mark 6:46 After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.

Praying God’s Word “Lord, if anyone didn’t need to pray it would be the son of God. And yet, you did. Over and over. Jesus, may we pray like you prayed. Forgive us for the times when we go to Web MD and we do not go to you. Forgive us for worshipping the news instead of falling on our knees before you. Forgive us for looking to politicians to answer our prayers before you. Forgive us for our showy, religious, fake, long-winded prayers that you spoke against. Father, Let your kingdom come. Your will be done. Give us what we need today. Forgive us. Let us also forgive. Lead us not into temptation. Deliver us from evil. Amen.”
