Reading God’s Word: Catch-up Day; Psalm 2

Reviewing Isaiah:  Part 1 https://bibleproject.com/explore/video/isaiah-1-39/

Part 2 https://bibleproject.com/explore/video/isaiah-40-66/

Memorizing God’s Word: Isaiah 53:6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 2:1-4 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.

Praying God’s Word “Lord, Psalm 2 sums up so well our generation, our leaders… even our own hearts. We should be applauding your Lordship. We should be surrendering to your sovereign rule. And yet, we buck against it, conspire and rebel. Forgive us, Lord. And lead us into lives that stand in contrast to the world. Instead of rising up like the kings of the earth, we fall down before the King of Kings. Instead of rebelling against the One enthroned, we take refuge in Him. You don’t chain us, O Lord, you set us free from our chains! Thank you, Jesus! Amen.”
