Reading God’s Word: Isaiah 4:2-5:30

Advent Reading: Isaiah 40:1-9

Memorizing God’s Word: Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Meditating on God’s Word: Isaiah 5:3-4, “Now you dwellers in Jerusalem and people of Judah, judge between me and my vineyard. What more could have been done for my vineyard than I have done for it? When I looked for good grapes, why did it yield only bad?”

Praying God’s Word “Lord, forgive me for the times when I am tempted to think that my fruitlessness has anything to do with You! You are faithful: You’ve tended, You’ve blessed, You’ve called, and You’ve saved. What more could you say than what has been said in Your Word? And, what more could you do than has been accomplished on the cross of Christ? Only allow my whole life to be a response to the love and grace that You’ve already shown in and through Your Word. Amen.”
