Meditating on God’s Word:  2 Kings 17:41 Even while these people were worshiping the Lord, they were serving their idols.

Praying God’s Word “Lord, idols come in many different shapes and sizes.   For the Israelites, some of those were golden calves, Baal, and the moon and stars.  In this generation, they can be harder to detect.  It could be money, entertainment, family, or even our identity.  It comes down to being anything that is replacing you in our lives.  What are the people and the things that I am allowing to absorb my mind, my heart, and my being?   What am I putting my time, my money, and my energy into?   I don’t want to spend my Sunday mornings “worshiping” you and the rest of the week focused on me.  I want to make you the central point that guides my way today and always.  Amen.”
