Reading God’s Word: Matthew 26:47-56; Psalm 63

Memorizing God’s Word: 1 John 1:9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 26:53-54 Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?”

Praying God’s Word “Lord, I know the hardest parts of life can make me wonder, “Does following Jesus really have to be so hard?” He could have had a much easier path if He wanted. But what He wanted more than comfort, safety, or ease, was the will of His Father in Heaven. I want that heart as well. Whether I say it with a heart full of praise or eyes full of tears, would I say it all the same: Not my will, but yours be done. Make me more and more like Jesus I pray. Amen.”
