Praying God’s Word: “Lord, I thank you for your word and the wisdom it contains.  I thank you for your Holy Spirit that guides me and gently nudges me when I stray from your commands and wander off your path.  Help me to set my eyes, mind, and heart on the things above rather than on earthly pleasures which are like a mist, appearing for a short time then vanishing.  For one day, we ALL will stand before you and be judged; the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean.  Oh, do I long to hear the words “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Amen.”
