Reading God’s Word: Daniel 4; Psalm 81

Memorizing God’s Word: 1 John 4:11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 81:10-12, “I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it. But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me. So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own decrees.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, we remember today in our Psalm reading how that You long to feed and provide for Your people. You are the only One who could remove our burden! And yet like so many who come before, our hearts are prone to wander, and grow stubborn. Give us a tender heart, O God! Teach us to run to You for our food, for our life, for our strength, and for our rest. We listen to You, and You alone this morning. Speak to us, Lord. Fill us up! And satisfy us in Your presence. Amen.”
