Praying God’s Word: “Lord, this verse brings to mind one of the most famous poems ever written; Psalm 23. It declares that you, Jesus Christ, are our shepherd. You give us rest and lead us to places of peace. You comfort us in our sorrow and restore our soul. You guide us down righteous paths. Furthermore, out of your great love for your flock, you sacrificed your life! Out of my overwhelming gratitude for all you have done and are doing for me, I want to lay down my life, as well, for you and obediently and wholeheartedly follow you today, tomorrow, and until you call me home. Amen.”
