Reading God’s Word: Isaiah 24-25

Advent Reading: Luke 2:21-32

Memorizing God’s Word: Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Meditating on God’s Word: Luke 2:27-29 (LSB) And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to carry out for Him the custom of the Law, then he took Him into his arms and blessed God, and said, “Now Master, You are releasing Your slave in peace,
According to Your word.”

Praying God’s Word: “Father, in our meditation today we see Simeon, a man whom everyone in the Temple knew was waiting for the Messiah, make his way to Mary and Joseph and praise You that he can finally die in peace as he has seen Your Salvation. This had to be a comfort to Mary and Joseph, a second clear confirmation that all that had happened to them was according to Your plan. Amen.”
