Meditating on God’s Word: Luke 1:43-45 But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, it’s so easy to identify with Elizabeth’s question. Why am I so favored, that the Lord of Heaven and Earth should come to me? I’m filled with awe that Jesus saw my desperate state, took on my flesh, and saved me from my sin. Not because of anything in me. But because of your grace. May it cause us to leap with joy, and believe anew that the Lord fulfills His promises. Because in this baby boy, every promise of God is YES. (2 Cor. 1:20) Thank you, Lord!”
