Reading God’s Word: Luke 11:1-13; Psalm 138

Memorizing God’s Word: Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

Meditating on God’s Word: Luke 11:1 “Lord, teach us to pray”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, May the prayers of David in Psalm 138 and Jesus in Luke 11 shape the way I pray. I “hallow your name” and “praise you, Lord, with all my heart.” I come to you in prayer, loving you, loving people and living surrendered. As I read the prayers in the Psalms in the days to come, teach me to pray. Just as the prayers of the Psalms shaped Jesus’ praying, may they shape my praying. Make me a person of prayer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
