Reading God’s Word: Luke 12: 22-34; Psalm 143

Memorizing God’s Word:  Psalm 23: 3-4 He refreshes my soul.  He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.  Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Meditating on God’s Word: Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Praying God’s Word:  Our passage today is spoken to the disciples (me); not the multitudes.  You tell us why we should not worry or be afraid. Then you sum it all up in: “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”  Treasure is what I prioritize in life; what consumes my thoughts; what brings me joy.  How I view these tells me where my heart is anchored.  Lord, I want to invest/align my time, energy, resources in what you want me to do.  Amen.
