Reading God’s Word: Matthew 26:69-75; Psalm 65
Memorizing God’s Word: 1 John 1:9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Meditating on God’s Word: 1 John 1:9 (MSG) If we admit our sins—simply come clean about them—he won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself. He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing.
Psalm 65:3When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgaveour transgressions.
Praying God’s Word: “Gracious God, I’m so thankful you are always, faithfully, who you are. My thoughts and affections seem to change as often as shifting shadows, but you are always the same! Always good, always loving, always ready to forgive; and because of the cross of Jesus, you are always just when you do. You laid my punishment on Christ, and His righteousness on me. And all I have to do today, the only thing left… is confess. Admit my every sin, because the cross has paid for each one in full! As soon as you bring a sin to mind, may I quickly confess it; like a prodigal running home to his Father’s embrace. Thank you, Lord!”
