Reading God’s Word: Luke 5:1-26; Psalm 50:16-23

Memorizing God’s Word: Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free”

Meditating on God’s Word: Luke 5:16 “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord Jesus, as we follow you, to learn from you to become more like you, may we follow you in this short little verse tucked away in Luke 5. How often was often? It looks like this was in addition to other times you prayed. Why lonely places? Was it because it was easier for you to hear from the Father in quiet, lonely places? Lord Jesus, shape this kind of praying in my life. Show me places and times I can get away and spend uninterrupted time with you and the Father. Make me more of a praying person. Make me more like you. Amen.”
