Reading God’s Word: Ecclesiastes 9:1-12; Psalm 137
Memorizing God’s Word: John 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
Meditating on God’s Word: Ecclesiastes 9:12 Moreover, no one knows when their hour will come: As fish are caught in a cruel net, or birds are taken in a snare, so people are trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, I am grateful for each day that I am able to open my eyes and take a breath. Another day where I can enjoy the beauty of your creation. This life and the good things in it are gifts from you which are meant to be enjoyed. Our days are numbered though and our breaths are few. Time and chance happen to us all and while life has many uncertainties, death is absolute. Praise God that I have an assurance of eternity with you when my time comes. Open the eyes of the lost, those who do not share that same hope. I pray for their salvation and that they also could call you Lord and Savior and be ushered into your heavenly kingdom. Amen.”
