Reading God’s Word: Catch-up Day; Psalm 77
Memorizing God’s Word: 1 John 4:11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 77:7-9, “Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again? Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time? Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?”
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, I confess that there are days when I ask these same questions. Why does it seem like You are far off and distant? Did I do something wrong? Have You forgotten me? Have You in anger withheld compassion? In those days, help me to remember what I know to be true: That You are slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, that You pursue and redeem Your people, and that You dwell in me by Your Spirit. You will never leave me or forsake me, even in the darkest moments! Thank You for being with me, even when my eyes can’t see it. Amen.”
