Reading God’s Word: John 10:22-42; Psalm 10

Memorizing God’s Word: John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 10:1, “Why, LORD, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, I’m encouraged by this Psalm today because in it, the psalmist puts words to something I’ve felt on my journey. At times, by all available evidence, it does seem like you are far away, like you’re not close by. But help me to remember that it is the wicked man who says, ‘God does not see.’ Even in the moments when I can’t see you, and when I can’t see what you’re doing, help me to remember that you are the God who sees, and that you sit enthroned, even in the difficult moments. Amen.”
