Reading God’s Word: 2 Samuel 19-20; Proverbs 29

Memorizing God’s Word: Psalm 1:1-2 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.

Meditating on God’s Word: Proverbs 29:11 Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, you are wisdom. Jesus, you are the way, the truth, the life. Forgive us for not trusting your example. Convict us to pray before we post. Convict us to choose silence before we rush to speak. Convict us when the sea of anger washes over our soul to wait for you to faithfully lead us to still waters. We thank you for the gift of emotions. But we pray that we choose faith, faith in you and your example of peace, over our feelings. May we become the wise men and women, known for our love, bringing calm in the midst of chaos. Amen.”
