Reading God’s Word: Genesis 49:1-50:26; Psalm 29

Memorizing God’s Word: Psalm 23:3-4, “he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Meditating on God’s Word: Genesis 50:19-20a, “But Joseph replied, “Don’t be afraid of me. Am I God, that I can punish you? You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord God, you are gracious and forgiving, rich in mercy and abounding in love! Like the sons of Israel, I can live in fear of your punishment, which is what I deserve, or I can see your gracious heart full of compassion and intending good for me, even though I have sinned against you and done harm to your holy Name.  Thank you for showing your character through Joseph.  You are the Judge, yet in your grace you gave me forgiveness through Jesus, the Prince of Peace & my Savior, Amen.”
