Memorizing God’s Word: Isaiah 40:28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

Meditating on God’s Word: Isaiah 30:29 And you will sing as on the night you celebrate a holy festival; your hearts will rejoice as when people playing pipes go up to the mountain of the Lord.

Praying God’s Word: Heavenly Father, we see how the children of Israel were promised by you that a day of rejoicing would come after difficult times. We also live in uncertain times, times deserving of your judgment. May we now trust you as well, knowing that you love us and will always watch over us, and may this Christmas be another reminder that our hearts can also rejoice that you are with us, Immanuel. Amen.
