Reading God’s Word: Isaiah 13:1-14:27

Advent Reading: Luke 1:26-45

Memorizing God’s Word: Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,  they will walk and not be faint.

Meditating on God’s Word: Luke 1:31-33 (LSB)  And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David, and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and there will be no end of His kingdom.”

Praying God’s Word: “Father, as we enter this time of year help us to not forget the fulfillment of your promise of a deliverer from our sins through Your holy prophets. For over four thousand years this promise awaited fulfillment, but at the right time, and in the right place, and to the right parents, the long-awaited Savior entered the world to save us from our sins. Your schedule is not ours, so help us to remember that You always keep Your word, and when the time is right, Your promises will come to pass. Amen.”
