Join us for a special prom night experience you will never forget! We are so excited to celebrate with you (for the first time) on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Elyria. We can’t wait to see you at Night to Shine at Church of the Open Door in partnership with Open Door Christian Schools (8287 West Ridge Road, Elyria)!

We are proud to be an official host church for the 2026 Night to Shine, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom-night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. We will be celebrating with more than 655 churches around the world simultaneously!

The night will feature a red carpet, dinner and dessert, music, karaoke, dancing, limo rides, photo opportunities, a crowning ceremony, and more. Join us for an unforgettable evening!

Volunteers

A large number of dedicated volunteers will play a key role in executing this special night. We have many volunteer positions we’re looking to fill. These range from being a Buddy, someone who accompanies and assists assigned guest throughout the evening, providing companionship and any assistance they may need during the event, to being the paparazzi, or helping with hair and makeup. There is definitely something for everyone to help with!

If you are volunteering for Night to Shine, we will have training days to come in and learn how to best serve in your role. All volunteers are required to attend one of the training sessions and complete a background check. These training sessions will take place at the Elyria Campus.

Volunteer Training Dates:

1:00-2:00pm Sunday, January 25
6:00-7:00pm Monday, January 26
