“You Will Receive POWER.”

Acts 1:8

 

 

Who?         Holy Spirit

 

What?       Power

 

Why?         Witnesses

 

Where?     Everywhere

 

 

  1. It is not in our own strength.

 

Why does Jesus promise POWER to his disciples?

 

 

 

 

  1. The Holy Spirit equips us to testify.

 

Why does Jesus need WITNESSES?

 

 

 

 

III.  The goal is to reach the whole world.

 

Why does Jesus have this idea of EXPANSION?

 

 

 

 

 

LifeGroup Questions: Applying the Teaching to Our Life

  • Begin Life Group with prayer - invite the Holy Spirit to speak and move among you.
  • ⁠What things does the Holy Spirit need to remind us of in our daily lives?
  • How can we improve our relationship with the Holy Spirit?

"May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." 2 Corinthians 13:14 NIV.

  • Am I helping others to have their eyes opened, come to the light, and receive forgiveness of sins? If not, how can I start doing that?
  • ⁠What has the Lord done in me that I can testify to so that others may believe?

"To open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me." Acts 26:15-18 NIV.

  • For whom should I start praying, asking the Lord to provide an opportunity for that person to hear the gospel?
  • Close in prayer for those you discussed and for the Holy Spirit to lead each of you in power and strength to share His Good News!
