Reading God’s Word: Galatians 3:1-4:20; Psalm 79

Memorizing God’s Word: Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Meditating on God’s Word: Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, in a world divided may we see like Jesus. Make us one. In a church full of a thousand denominations, Lord, may we learn to worship like Jesus. Make us one. In a nation where so many flags are ripping us apart instead of pulling us together, may we stand under His banner of love. Make us one. Jesus, even as I say these words something very sinister in me is laughing and whispering “how naïve, how cliché”. I reject that voice. It’s not yours. I reject the lie that unity is unachievable. It’s your heart. It’s your prayer for us. So therefore, it is mine. As you said in John 17, do whatever it takes in me to help us become one as You and the Father are one. Amen.”
