Reading God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 12-14; Psalm 65

Memorizing God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Meditating on God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, such famous words, familiar words to so many of us: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. I ask that you work those words into the very fabric of our being. May they saturate our lives, soak into our hearts and minds. Holy Spirit, breathe these words into us until they begin to characterize our lives in every relationship in which we find ourselves. By this everyone will know we are your disciples: by the way we love. May we love like you Lord, Jesus. For we pray in your name.  Amen.”
