Reading God’s Word: John 6:25-59; Psalm 44:17-26

Memorizing God’s Word: John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 44:23-24, “Awake, Lord! Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever. Why do you hide your face and forget our misery and oppression?”; John 6:37, “All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord Jesus, what a treasure we have in Your Word! In it, we learn how You love for us to bring the deep things of our hearts and even our worries to You—which I am glad to bring before You today. Like the Psalmist, I sometimes wonder where You are, what You’re doing, and if You really see what’s going on in my life or all around me. And yet, while the Psalms teach me to bring these things before You, Your reply is found in the words of Your Son! Even when it seems dark and that You’re far off, help me to remember that You will never drive away those that the Father has called near. Amen.”
