Praying God’s Word: “Father, in our meditation today, we are reminded that death is the great equalizer. Rich, poor, influential, unknown, strong, weak, famous, and obscure: all will one day step into eternity. Only those who know you will be redeemed from the power of the grave. There is coming a day when all believers will be resurrected to spend eternity in your presence. For those who do not know you, they will be forever banished into outer darkness. Please help us live in light of eternity, both knowing the bright future ahead for us who believe, but also warning those who do not of the finality of the grave and the darkness that is theirs to come unless they turn to You. Amen.”
