Reading God’s Word: Judges 20-21; Psalm 147
Memorizing God’s Word: 2 Timothy 1:7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 147:3-5 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.”
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, after all the crazy examples from the times of the Judges this week, it’s so nice to be reminded that you are the healer of the brokenhearted. Bind up my woundedness Jesus! I live, as you did, in a daily battle to keep moving forward as I am incurring wounds and my heart is breaking daily. Bind me up Jesus by getting my thoughts focused on the Father, the one who named the stars and knows when a bird falls from the sky – how much more does He know my name and the state of my heart?! Give me understanding by grasping the breadth of your unending understanding! Great are you Lord! Amen.”
