Reading God’s Word: Ezekiel 15-16; Psalm 55
Memorizing God’s Word: John 8:31-32, To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 55:6-8, Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest ~ I would flee far away and stay in the desert; I would hurry to my place of shelter, far from the tempest and storm.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, wouldn’t that be nice to just fly away when things got rough and come back when the storm settles down? In contrast we are asked to persevere, knowing that when our faith is tested we are developing patience, trust, and endurance. All qualities that help us become more like Christ. This is what we desire. This is what we pray for, so with open arms I surrender today to the one who is my creator and sustainer. Amen.”
