Reading God’s Word: Luke 4:14-44, Proverbs 15:30-33

Memorizing God’s Word: Luke 4:18-19, The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

Meditating on God’s Word: Luke 4:42, At daybreak Jesus went out to a solitary place. The people were looking for him and when they came to where he was, they tried to keep him from leaving them.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, when we find solitude in you we can hear without distraction, what you want us to know. When we are still, we can listen ~ really listen. There will always be something, or someone, that wants our attention. So do you! You desire a relationship with us. A relationship that is deepened through solitude. Just you and me, spending time together. A time I look forward to everyday! Amen.”
