Memorizing God’s Word: Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 31:6 I hate those who cling to worthless idols; as for me, I trust in the Lord.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, thank you for the admonition in your word that states I need to place my trust in you and not worthless idols. I am sorry for all the times I have placed my trust or confidence in things (money, power, recognition, beauty, etc.) that don’t last or are ultimately meaningless. Instead, please teach me to focus fully on you, and help me to trust you more and more going forward. Amen.”
