Reading God’s Word: Ezekiel 4-5; Psalm 48

Memorizing God’s Word: 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 48:9 Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, today, we meditate on your unfailing love; when this Psalm was originally written in the Hebrew language, the translation of the one word “Khesed.” I love that word because it is so colorful and meaningful. Studying its use in Scripture reveals that it means an unshakable lovingkindness, compassionate mercy, never-ending faithfulness, fierce, tenacious persistence. In the worst circumstances of our life, you love us with this khesed love that will carry us through whatever we’re facing. When we fall into sin, you come to us and offer a forgiveness that is rich in unfailing love and mercy.  When we’ve strayed from you, you chase us down with a fierce, persistent, unfailing love, and call us back to yourself. Your khesed love never fails, never wavers, never ends! We marvel at your unfailing love!!!! Hallelujah!!! Amen.”
