Reading God’s Word: Numbers 28-29, Psalm 91
Memorizing God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 10:31, So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 91:2, I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, it would be easy to read over the list of sacrifices, and their frequency, drawing the conclusion that this scripture does not directly apply to me. However, ‘all scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work’ (2 Timothy 3:16,17). We are not asked to follow an elaborate system of sacrifice today, but we are asked to embrace the sacrifice made on our behalf. ‘He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most High Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption’ (Hebrews 9:12). You are my refuge and fortress. You guard and protect me. You are with me now and always! Amen.”
