Reading God’s Word: Ezra 1-2; Psalm 75
Memorizing God’s Word: John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 75:2-3 You say, “I choose the appointed time; it is I who judge with equity. When the earth and all its people quake, it is I who hold its pillars firm.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, in a world that seems spinning out of control, I rest today in the One who holds its pillars firm. God, you raise up leaders, and bring them down. You have already appointed the time of judgement, and you always do so righteously. You weave your sovereignty through the course of history, and I will trust you here in the middle of it. You are still at work today, moving in my heart just like you “moved the heart of Cyrus” (Ezra 1:1). I pray for my leaders, but my hope is in the Lord! Thank you, God. Amen.”
