Reading God’s Word: Luke 17:11-19; Psalm 7
Memorizing God’s Word: Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 7:9 End the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure—you, the righteous God who probes minds and hearts.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, how long? How long will violence reign in our streets, our schools, our nation? In so many ways it feels like our prayers have been met with silence. But we know your word does not return void. And we know that you have called us to bring the good news of your kingdom to all nations. So Father, convict us to act with courage. Convict us to believe that you have given us the message of reconciliation. Convict us to believe that the answer is not found “out there.” But within us. Help us to have the same mindset as Jesus. Willing to be obedient to the call to love, even our enemies, as he has loved us. Even unto death. Amen.”
