Reading God’s Word: Job 16-17; Psalm 110

Memorizing God’s Word: Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

Meditating on God’s Word: Job 16:12  All was well with me, but he shattered me; he seized me by the neck and crushed me. He has made me his target

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, in some ways we have all felt like this. Shaking our fist toward heaven or screaming from the pit of our pain. Why God? Why? Why now? Why me? Why so long? Father, thank you for allowing us to doubt and to complain and to cry out to you in such vivid language. But most of all we thank you for the promise that even in the most confusing of circumstances, even when our hearts feel broken beyond repair, that you are a God who works all things together for good for those who love you. As you wipe our tears may we rest in your love. Amen.”
