Praying God’s Word: “Lord, words are so powerful. They have the power to build others up and be life giving and also the power to bring them down and damage.  Just one misguided comment can devastate a relationship in an instant.   Forgive me for the times that I have spoken out of anger or malice towards others.  The times I have been reckless with my speech and hurt people in the process.  Holy Spirit, cleanse my speech so that everything I say would be an encouragement to others and a building block for your kingdom.  Would the words I speak be glorifying to you. Amen.”
